The connection to the marriage records in Montana is this:
In 1908, Alice Anna Louise (Hickox) Hearn dies and is buried in Paynesville, Minnesota
In 1909, Mabel Mae Hearn married A. J. Dahl in Billings, Montana.
In 1911, Elijah married Jane A Walker in Deer Lodge, Powell, Montana
In 1914, Elijah married Emma (Adams) McCaneland (McCoustland) in Montana
In 1917, Erna Estelle Hearn married Benjamin Franklin Henry in Silver Bow, Blaine, Montana

The two marriage records in Montana provide the same parents:  Azel Hearn and Catherine Baird of Sussex, Delaware.

Proving that these are all the same Elijah A Hearn is a little circumstantial.  The marriage of daughters Mabel and Erna in Montana in 1909 and 1917 respectively, increase the likelihood that Elijah in Montana is ours.   His marriage record in 1911 says he is divorced.   Alice died in 1908.
