In the Hearne book, there is only one Thomas Hearne (R6239) from Georgia, born about 1825. That's the son of Jacob Hearne and Elizabeth Mayfield. According the Hearne History, "they settled first in Franklin Co., Ga, In 1820 they moved to Coweta Co., Ga and later to Campbell Co, Ga. where he died."
Thomas Jefferson Hearne (R8599) is a long shot. Son of Charles William Hearne (b 1808, Troup, GA) and Nancy Wheeler. That makes his father a little young, but possible.

Thomas Purnell Hearne is Jacob and Elizabeth Mayfield Hearne's son. Several of Jacob's siblings went to Jackson Co., LA in the 1830-40 range. Thomas is said to have gone to Louisiana, Caddo Co. ~1849 and married there. Walter is Thomas' son.
By the bye regarding Parks and Hearne's...consider including the TN>Alabama Park/Parks in your search. Some wind up in Ellis Co., TX ~ 1873 and are largely still here. My b-i-l's ggf, Cullin Houston Kelly ((1845TN >AL >TX - d.1926 TX)is a descendent of Purnell's dtr. Brunetta Hearne Andrews) and Cullin married Susan Elizabeth Parks (1859 TN - 1935 TX) d/o Wm. Columbus Parks TN>AL>MS>TX. Cullin and Susan are buried in the Waxahachie, Ellis Co., TX cemetery.
I am not really sure about how to do this kind of research but i hope this site helps. I dont really know my father and mom only knows where he was from. I would really love to know more to tell my children. His name was Roy Lee Hearne Jr. and he was from east tx border with la. any info would help.
